Gabrielle Fitzgerald is an executive in the philanthropic and global health fields, with more than 25 years of experience leading organizations and partnering with leaders for global change. As the founder and CEO of GPS Strategy, Gabrielle works with leading foundations, non-profits and philanthropists to design and implement sound strategies for global change.

Previously, Gabrielle served as the Director of the Ebola Program at the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. She oversaw Paul Allen’s $100 million commitment to Ebola, and catalyzed creative solutions to tackle the West Africa Ebola outbreak.

From 2004-2014, Gabrielle developed and led Global Program Advocacy at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As Director, Gabrielle led a 40-person team, oversaw 15 global advocacy strategies, managed a $10 million operating budget and a grant budget of $1.5 billion, including $220 million in annual payout to 150 grantees worldwide.

Prior to this, Gabrielle served for five years at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), leading the HIV/AIDS public affairs strategy. Earlier in her career, she worked as a speechwriter for President Bill Clinton at The White House, led communications for the U.S. Committee for Refugees, and as a staffer on political campaigns. She started her career as a field operative for Governor Bill Clinton in the New Hampshire primary.

Gabrielle is a frequent public speaker and recently developed and taught “Global Health Diplomacy” – available on the online learning platform Coursera

Gabrielle holds a Master of Public Administration from The Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts from American University in Washington D.C.
