Global Sustainability Director, Unilever

Eric Ostern serves as the Sustainability Director, Global Functions & Business Innovation at Unilever. In this role, he serves as the business partner to many of the global functions where he advances sustainability initiatives that drive business growth and deliver social impact. He also spearheads the development of innovative sustainability initiatives that cut across multiple areas of Unilever’s business. And to ensure that Unilever is fit-to-compete for the future, Eric is leading development of sustainability initiatives to upskill organizational capabilities and unlock capacity for growth.

Previously, Eric served as the Director, Global Partnerships & Advocacy where he led transformational partnership programs, strategic social investments, commercial strategies, and advocacy initiatives to advance Unilever’s Health & Well-being sustainability agenda. Under his leadership, Unilever saw strong growth among its Brands with Purpose while contributing to the health and well-being of more than 20 million people.

Prior to joining Unilever, Eric spent more than a decade in a Fortune 10 corporation where he managed corporate responsibility strategies and programs, as well as public policy.

Eric holds a Master in Business Administration in Marketing from New York University Stern School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Binghamton University.
