As a Partnerships Intern, Emilia Garcia supports Concordia’s cross-sector engagement efforts by assisting with partner outreach, stakeholder communications, and project coordination to advance the organization’s Convene-Connect-Create model.
Emilia is a public policy and global development studies student at the University of Virginia. Before joining Concordia, she interned at the Colombian Oil and Gas Association, where she contributed to Colombia’s energy transition strategies while collaborating with government officials, Indigenous communities, and industry CEOs, developing a database of over 650 social impact projects for sector-wide sustainability reporting. She also gained experience at Compartamos Con Colombia, a social consulting firm, and CMS Rodríguez-Azuero Law Firm, where she worked on various legal practices, including criminal law, commercial law, and compliance.
A proud Colombian, Emilia splits her time between the U.S and Colombia. Her interests include sustainable development and gender equality.
