Elisabeth Medou Badang, Senior Vice President Africa and Indian Ocean and Spokesperson for Orange Middle East & Africa
Elisabeth Medou Badang was promoted in early 2018 to Senior Vice President at Orange Middle East and Africa. She oversees a cluster of three countries, represents her company in conferences, in media relations and in top executive panel discussions. Prior to that, Elisabeth has been for four years the CEO of Orange Cameroon. During her tenure at Orange Cameroon, she impelled the revolution of mobile money in the country and sustained a strong leadership position in this activity in Cameroun and Central Africa region. She has previously led Orange Botswana for four years and is the first African woman to lead an Orange affiliate. She is passionate about the ICT development potential in Africa, the digital inclusion in general and its ability to transform people’s lives.
Ms Medou Badang received several recognitions such as the African Telecommunication Manager of the Year Award in 2014, Best mobile operator Southern Africa with Orange Botswana 2012, Best Mobile money operator Southern Africa in 2013; Best mobile Operator in Cameroon 2017 ; among the 50 most influential women in African business in 2018 and the first Female innovator of the year at Africa COM 2019.
She has a post-graduate degree in finance and Certificates in Executive Business programmes from EM Lyon Business School, Cranfield University and ESCP.
