Dauda Sesay and his family were resettled in Baton Rouge in 2009, after spending nine years in a refugee camp where he met his beautiful wife, Alima. Upon arrival in the US, Dauda made learning English and acquiring education his top priority for him and his family. As a result, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Process Technology and Currently Working with Dow Chemical. Dauda is studying to acquire the Department of Justice Accreditation to become an Immigration attorney.
Due to his passion for helping humanity, he founded the Louisiana Organization for Refugees and Immigrant (LORI), an association that assists refugees and immigrants to integràte in their new home.
He is also the Vice-Chair Refugee Congress Board of Directors and Serves as Mayor Broome International Relations Commission.
Dauda loves playing sports, especially soccer, listening to music, and watching comedy.
