Christina M. Alfonso is the founder and chief executive officer of Madeira Global, a New York-based investment and advisory firm servicing qualified investors and institutions in the area of impact investing. Ms. Alfonso is an accomplished international investment advisor whose personal and professional experience in impact investing spans the U.S., European, Latin American, Asian and African markets.
Prior to founding Madeira in 2012, Ms. Alfonso was director of sustainable investments for World Wide Investments Group, based in São Paulo, Brazil, where she identified and assessed suitable investments for the firm’s renewable energy and sustainability funds. Previously, Ms. Alfonso served as senior private client associate and hedge fund liaison at AllianceBernstein, LP.
Ms. Alfonso serves as a founding advisory board member of the Center for Social Innovation in New York, a member of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle and a member of the Women’s Forum Rising Talents. She holds a M.B.A. from ESADE Business School, Barcelona, Spain.
