Caroline Scullin

Caroline L. Scullin is a senior global communications strategist with an established track record of tackling complex, high-profile projects and issues. Her professional experience includes work in government, non-profit, civil society and private sector organizations where she has developed and implemented award-winning communications and external relations programs.

She operates her own global strategic communication consulting practice providing senior counsel for international foundations, education organizations and multilateral organizations. Previously, she served in the Obama administration as Senior Vice President of Communications for the Export Import Bank of the United States.

In addition, she served as Vice President for External Relations at The Wilson Center, the nation’s key non-partisan policy forum for tackling global issues; Communications Director for the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), a core institute of the National Endowment for Democracy; and as Director of Public Relations for the United States Government Printing Office (GPO). From 2001 until 2007, she operated her own project management consulting practice serving a wide range of clients – from Fortune 100 corporations to international non-governmental organizations.

She also spent more than a decade as Chief Aide and Press Secretary to the Honorable Robert C. McFarlane, former National Security Advisor to President Ronald Reagan. A graduate of Georgetown University, for over a decade Ms. Scullin has served as a member of the Board of Governors for the Georgetown University Alumni Association (GUAA) and is the recipient of the GUAA William Gaston Award for Leadership. She also serves as on the Board of Directors of The Center for Justice and Accountability (www.cja.org).
