Beth Hurvitz leads the global social impact organization for Visa Inc.  In this role, Ms. Hurvitz is responsible for delivering on the company’s social impact vision to be a force for good that advances equitable and inclusive economic growth for everyone, everywhere.  By leveraging Visa and the Visa Foundation’s resources, Ms. Hurvitz and her global team help to realize Visa’s mission through economically advancing small and micro businesses, propelling gender and racial equity, and driving community and employee engagement to grow Visa’s purpose-led culture.  Prior to this role, Ms. Hurvitz held other senior positions at Visa, including Senior Vice President, North American Operations and Senior Vice President, Financial Institution Sales.

Prior to Visa, Ms. Hurvitz served as Chief Operating Officer for The League (now generationOn), a non- profit organization whose mission is to empower young people (K-12) to solve serious social problems through voluntary service.  Ms. Hurvitz helped launch The League and grew it to over 100,000 students nationwide. Prior to The League, Ms. Hurvitz was Senior Vice President at American Express holding several senior roles including leading global network information insights and strategy, American Express Interactive, and global merchant pricing. Before joining American Express in 1992, Ms. Hurvitz served as Principal at Mercer Management Consulting.

Ms. Hurvitz earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BS in electrical engineering from Tufts University.
