Global Vice President-Cocoa, Mars Wrigley

Amber Johnson is the Global Vice President of Cocoa for Mars Wrigley. Amber’s goal is to inspire Associates that work within the Cocoa Enterprise and contribute to making the world’s most beloved brands, such as M&M’S®, Snickers®, Dove®, Galaxy®, and Twix® better every day. In her current role, Amber leads a team of diverse and passionate Associates that are on a mission to ‘create a more modern, inclusive, and sustainable cocoa supply chain’. She is responsible for the end-to-end enterprise, which spans five continents across multi-disciplinary departments including science and technology, operations, sustainability, sourcing, research, corporate affairs, and brand.

Amber is also a member the Mars Wrigley Global Procurement leadership team. With more than 25 years’ experience in the consumer goods industry, Amber has a breadth of experience across supply chain, sourcing, business transformation and strategy. Most recently, Amber served as Vice President of Health & Wellness Strategy for Mars Wrigley. Her team focused on the development of the longer-term strategy to ensure Mars Wrigley is meeting the needs of current and future consumers recognizing the changing needs in the snacking category. In 2016, Amber was appointed to the role of Vice President of Business Transformation for Mars, Inc to lead a cross-segment portfolio transformation initiative. Amber joined Mars Wrigley in 2003, and since this time, Amber has held progressive roles across sourcing, operations, external manufacturing, and research and development. A champion of inclusion in the workplace, Amber was a founding member of Wrigley’s worldwide Inclusion Council, an associate-led program that fostered diversity and inclusion throughout the organization.

Prior to Mars Wrigley, Amber spent time at Transora, an e-commerce start-up focused on the CPG vertical in a business development capacity, and approximately ten years with General Mills, Inc. in a variety of progressive Procurement and Supply Chain roles. Outside of work, Amber is a member of several non-profit boards. Amber is a proud graduate from THE Ohio State University and currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, Ken and two teenage daughters.
