Purpose of Position

Concordia seeks an energetic, detail-oriented intern to join our team virtually. You will be a crucial member of a tightknit team working to actively foster, elevate, and sustain cross-sector partnerships for positive social impact. You will play a large part in building a meaningful space for collaboration and discussion with some of the world’s great thinkers and doers. This spring, you will support an ongoing annual impact review for the organization, impact partnerships in both the Americas and Africa region, the design and execution of a new Action Fund to catalyze early-stage partnerships, the 8th annual P3 Impact Award, and 2nd annual P3 Impact Accelerator planning, and the 2021 Concordia convening calendar.

Reports to Senior Director of Partnerships. The candidate will be based remotely.

Responsibilities

PartnershipS:
  • Support and engage in collaborative and design thinking exercises to support the codification of processes and goals related to organization-wide impact evaluation, departmental marketing/communications, and other departmental strategic planning
  • Research and brainstorm to build out partnership needs and drive value to various stakeholders in the Concordia community
  • Work to promote awareness and coordinate partnership development around our partnering initiatives
  • Support data intake and analysis as it pertains to 2021 P3 Impact Award
  • Provide general support to Concordia’s Partnering Initiatives (preparing discussion materials, desk and interview research, drafting frameworks, etc.)
  • Support the catalogue and analysis of partnering best practices
  • Contribute to or directly author editorials and experience thought leadership opportunities
  • Develop social media content related to Partnership Development objectives
  • Oversee scheduling and meeting support (as needed)

 

Programming Content & Communications
  • Assist in editing and developing all program materials, including session descriptions, speaker briefing materials, social media, and website text
  • Perform research to help fine-tune program focus and speaker talking points
  • Assist with CRM management and use project management tools to track partnerships and relationships
  • Provide essential admin support to the team when called upon (data entry; online research; mailings, etc.)

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled at a college/university, or a recent grad
  • Deeply interested in the social impact space
  • Familiarity with today’s movers and shakers in the nonprofit, government, and corporate world
  • Highly organized and data-oriented (experience working with a database system, sending updates, and tracking progress)
  • Strong writing and editing skills (e.g. experience drafting blog posts, op-eds, and press releases)
  • Deadline-oriented and calm under pressure
  • Experience with InDesign preferred
  • Previous partnership development experience, ideally with the private sector, preferred
  • Spanish or French fluency preferred
