The 2021 Annual Summit is taking place the week of September 20 in a hybrid format, with both in-person and digital programming from September 20-22 and digital-only programming on September 23. At Concordia, we understand the power of in-person connection. For many of us around the world, going digital over the past 18 months has provided huge opportunities, but no technology will ever be a complete substitute for the human-to-human encounter. With COVID-19, there are many challenges to bringing people together in person, but all of us at Concordia are committed to taking decisive action to ensure that we can offer both in-person and digital opportunities for this year’s 2021 Annual Summit.
Below is a set of standards that will dictate how we will safely bring together our membership community in person at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel this September, in line with New York City Mayor’s Key to NYC vaccination mandate. We strongly believe that these guidelines will allow us to achieve our mission and successfully host our 11th Annual Summit at a time when coming together as a global community is more pressing than ever before.
We’ve hired Dynamic DXS to provide onsite COVID-19 rapid testing and temperature checks for all guests. What’s more, the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel will be undertaking proper COVID-19 protocols, including regularly sanitizing the event space and enhanced hygiene procedures when serving food and beverages. We are strategically holding the summit at a large venue to allow guests to socially distance at their own comfort level. We are also taking steps to manage the number of guests on site.
