What is the Concordia Annual Summit?

The Annual Summit is Concordia’s signature gathering. It takes place each September and it’s the largest nonpartisan gathering alongside the UN General Assembly. The Summit convenes leaders from across industries, sectors, and geographies, who participate in programming ranging from panel discussions and one-on-one interviews on the Main Stage to smaller roundtables and breakout sessions. The aim of the Annual Summit is to examine pressing global issues through the lens of collaboration. This year marks the 11th Concordia Annual Summit.

When is the 2021 Annual Summit taking place?

The 2021 Annual Summit is taking place the week of September 20 in a hybrid format, with both in-person and digital programming from September 20-22 and digital-only programming on September 23.

Can I attend in person?

The Summit is taking place at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, and you can attend in person if you’re a current member of the Concordia community. That means you must fall into one of the following categories: Leadership Council Member; Advisor or Senior Advisor; Board of Directors; Programming Sponsor; Programming Partner; Media Partner; Individual or Patron Member; Registered Press; Speaker or Speaker Staff; Concordia Staff; Event Vendors; Special Guest. If you’re joining us in person, you’ll also be able to register to attend digitally, so that you have the flexibility to participate in a way that suits you best. Can I attend digitally?

Anyone is able to participate digitally, but you must register beforehand. We’ll be hosting the Annual Summit on SpotMe, our digital platform. We’ll be streaming all Main Stage and Strategic Dialogue sessions live to SpotMe. Using the SpotMe platform allows you to create your own customized agenda, communicate directly with other attendees, and watch sessions on demand. You’ll be able to activate your account ahead of the Summit and familiarize yourself with the platform.

Will content be available on demand after the event?

Yes, all Main Stage and Strategic Dialogue sessions will be posted to SpotMe’s On Demand area within 24 hours of them taking place.

What COVID-19 precautions will you be taking?

The following requirements must be met for those planning to attend the 2021 Annual Summit in person:

  • Each individual must provide proof of vaccination under CDC or EU guidelines during the pre-event registration process. 
  • All individuals entering the event space will be tested upon arrival at the venue.
  • Temperature checks will be required throughout the facility. 
  • Properly-worn masks will be required for all participants, unless speaking in a session or consuming food or drink. 
  • The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel will be undertaking proper COVID-19 protocols, including regularly sanitizing the event space and enhanced hygiene procedures when serving food and beverages.

How much does it cost to attend?

To attend in person, you have to be a current member of the Concordia community. Membership lasts for a full year and costs $2500 for an individual and $20,000 for an organization. To attend digitally, you can purchase a full summit pass for $250 or a one-day pass for $75 (with the flexibility to choose which day you’d like to attend).

How can my company get involved?

Organizations can join Concordia as a Patron Member, a year-round membership that allows organizations to convene at our year-round events, connect with our global network, and create partnerships that advance objectives. For more information about Patron Membership, contact membership@concordia.net. Organizations can also get involved with programming at the Annual Summit by becoming either a Programming Partner (reserved for nonprofits and publicly-funded organizations) or Programming Sponsor (reserved for private sector companies).
