Transport To Market: Sustainable Sourcing + Innovative Models

Concordia releases its second mini-documentary as part of Campaign multimedia project

As part of Concordia’s Campaign for a Sustainable Global Food Supply, we are producing an eight-part multimedia project in partnership with Legend Productions that features public-private partnerships (P3s) that are working to address today’s global food sustainability challenge.

This second installment of our mini-documentary series highlights key partnerships featuring The Wallace Center at Winrock International, FRESHFARM Markets, Walmart Foundation, DC Greens, and the Washington D.C. Department of Health improving market access and food distribution challenges in the United States. John Fisk, Director of the Wallace Center at Winrock International, and Molly Scalise, Communications Manager at FRESHFARM Markets, shared amazing insights into improving food transportation, distribution, and agricultural supply chain innovations. This video highlights P3s working to connect fresh farm produce to markets and consumers back to their food systems.

In conjunction with this second mini-documentary, Concordia has put together an interactive editorial piece. The editorial, “Macrogreens: Urban Food Systems are the Root of Sustainable Cities,” explores sustainable supply chains, urban food systems, and P3s like AeroFarms addressing challenges to feeding a growing population.
