african diaspora - P3 Impact Award Finalist: African Diaspora Marketplace

“We’re the country where people aspire to come to succeed…And so long as we connect that success back to where we came, that’s the embodiment of our humanity.”
Dr. Rajiv Shah USAID Administrator.

Launched in 2009 by the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Center for Transformational Partnerships and Africa Bureau, Western Union, and the Western Union Foundation, the African Diaspora Marketplace (ADM) aims to encourage sustainable economic growth and employment by supporting African diaspora entrepreneurs. The partnership supports diaspora entrepreneurs with seed funding, technical assistance, and networking opportunities for business growth and innovation. Learn more on how ADM empowers entrepreneurs for economic opportunity in Africa:

ADM entrepreneurs are individuals with demonstrable connections to or experience in Africa, and who also have innovative and high impact start-ups or established businesses on the continent. They have attracted over $2 million of additional capital and have won numerous awards. Grants have been provided to entrepreneurs in the following countries: Ethiopia (3), Ghana (7), Kenya (4), Liberia (2), Nigeria (8); Sierra Leone (1); Uganda (3); Zambia (1): Libya (2); Tunisia (3). Below are just some of the ADM grantees making an impact across the world:
