Convening more than 60 leaders in the education field, the Concordia Summit and its co-sponsor The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), held a special session on the private sector’s role in financing education for a more skilled and flexible workforce globally. Through the innovative pairing of education and technology, the opportunities for investments in global education have grown exponentially. Session participants began by offering their own perspectives on the role of education in the post-MDG development agenda and how P3s can be used to reform crumbling education systems in both developed and developing nations. Sessions participants also shared their proposals on the most effective methods for scaling up next generation educational initiatives worldwide.
