In honor of International Women’s Day (IWD) and Global Partnerships Week (GPW), BNY Mellon, the YWCA, and Concordia hosted an event celebrating the social, economic, and political empowerment of women. While great strides have been made since IWD was first celebrated by the United Nations over 40 years ago, challenges remain on the pathway to equity in many places across the globe. This panel helped identify the catalytic actions that need to take place in order to accelerate gender parity. Participants discussed how cross-sector collaboration can support gender equality, economic empowerment, and political engagement on local, national, and global levels.
