Susan Silbermann is President and General Manager of Pfizer Vaccines. Pfizer Vaccines is one business unit with Pfizer Inc, one of the world’s premier innovative biopharmaceutical companies, which brings vaccines to patients that significantly improve their lives. In this role, Silbermann oversees a global business and is responsible for the commercial development of an exciting pipeline portfolio of preventative and therapeutic vaccines.
Prior to this position, she was the regional president of Latin America within Pfizer’s Emerging Markets Business Unit. In this role, she managed Pfizer’s pharmaceutical operations in a diverse market with more than 20 countries each with varying health needs and priorities.
Silbermann began her career at Pfizer in 1988. She has served in various positions in the U.S. and international markets, including Marketing Director in Pfizer Italy, Vice President of U.S. Pharmaceutical Marketing and Senior Vice President of World Wide Commercial Development.
She holds a seat on the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations (IFPMA) Vaccine CEO Steering Committee. In addition, Silbermann serves on the boards of advisors for Catalyst Inc. and on the corporate advisory board for the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School.
Silbermann has a B.S. in biology and French from Tufts University, and a joint M.B.A./M.A. degree in international business and French studies from the Stern Graduate School of Business and the Institute of French Studies at New York University.
